I just love that all the technology is interchangeable with no penalty for "custom" outfitting, even though there were a dozen or so other nozzles I didnt recognize. There should be, extra space for taken up inherently or a thing to buy for compatibility etc for mixing different species' tech, but there isnt. in fact, if you can buy it, its probably already killed you a few times. If not for that pack, the bolt might have ripped on through a bulkhead and into the crews berths. personally, for solo ship stuff, I like bactrian, deep river, kar ik vot 349, marauder falcons, derecho, all very capable for solo errand running. there just isnt "1 ship to rule them all" aside from some rare/impossible captures. late game has tons of options and there is room for style. to answer your question, there is no answer. ![]() So yeah, early game, you can play hero, 1 big ship to take on all the tiny enemies, but dont be disappointed when at some points that means a massive jump in price point that doesnt match your potential mission earnings. create layers of ships by adjusting their speed in outfitting, like a heavy flagship for absorbing initial attack, nimble fighters in the middle and some SLIGHTLY slower heavy ships for rear guard thats all shield and turrets. oh, the frustration, silliness, the wasted cash and so many many save reloads. I thought I was going to rule the world with 10 of the syndicate 6 turrets ships. on the flipside, dont fall in love with ships either, they will become obsolete. Ships can be purchased through the Shipyard which can be found on many planets through out the game. read the outfits descriptions, there is more to ship building than just the numbers. practice battle commands, try out different ships, combinations of ships, use the map's outfit and ship directories to look for every exploitable cubic inch. also, you can park ships so they stay put and dont waste money on crew, then at least if you stay with 1 ship at a time, you still have options for different missions/moods.Īt any rate, its a big game, so at some point, anticipate the need for many ships in a fleet. I recommend that with all new ships if only to test its energy and thermal balancing, but also you need to know its situational abilities so you arent babying it or constantly throwing it to the lions once it isnt your flagship. first time you get in a falcon, youre going to want to solo cruise it around if only to see what it is capable of. once you have officially changed your middle name to danger however, you will probably want at least 2 or 3 fighter hovering around you for support, flanking, damage rotation etc but you dont have to. it gets tedious and expensive, even if you sell the old ships, which you shouldnt. If there are no ships in the corresponding flotilla on the opponents side your ships well fire at the other flotillas using their weapons long range stats. You can edit which flotilla a ship is in by hitting the advanced button and then dragging and dropping the ship. For running "safe" missions, people and cargo, you can definitely go for quality over quantity. Can you undelete an instagram account, Grid item not aligning shopify related items. You always need to place at least one ship in flotilla 2.
